Green Roof

WaterFarmers installed this green roof, provided by Zinco, for a homeowner in Paris, Ontario, over their back patio. It is an extensive greenroof featuring hardy sedum plantings, appropriate for the bearing capacity of the structure and requiring little to no maintenance after the plantings are established. A greenroof like this is a great way to increase habitat for birds and pollinators, decrease stormwater runoff from the roof, and reduce the heat island effect.
