Scope Collection piping, pump and water treatment for rainwater system with 3,600 sqft catchment and 1,700 gallon capacity
The University of Guelph Arboretum was in need of upgrades to their greenhouse rainwater harvesting system, which collects from 3,600 sqft of greenhouse roof into two 865 gallon tanks. WaterFarmers redid the collection piping, adding pre-filters to keep the water in the tanks free of debris. A new pump and treatment equipment were installed to ensure the irrigation water used by students and staff is treated appropriately. The Arboretum utilizes rainwater to lessen reliance on well and municipal sources, as well as to provide sensitive plants with chlorine and mineral free water.
